Shangri-La Hotel, Suzhou in Jiangsu province launched a series of promotional events in March under the theme Hotel-Brand-Destination to celebrate its 10th anniversary. The events are designed to enable guests to explore the hotel, the Shangri-La brand and the city of Suzhou. They include culinary promotions, featuring a variety of fresh local ingredients such as Biluochun tea, shrimps from Taihu Lake and spring bamboo shoots, and tours of nearby attractions.

The annual global environmental event known as Earth Hour was created and instituted by the World Wildlife Fund in 2007 to emphasize the threat of climate change.

The Westin Bund Center Shanghai will offer Easter Day brunch on April 16, priced at 798 yuan ($116) per person, including free-flowing Veuve Clicquot champagne. Diners can fill up on their favorite holiday foods and desserts including handmade chocolates and hot cross buns. Younger members of participating families will enjoy table visits and giveaways from the Easter Bunny, Easter egg hunts and the Westin Kid's Club Easter Bunny/egg drawing competition.

Shanghai Marriott Hotel Pudong East has joined forces with British royal tea brand Twinings to launch a one-of-a-kind, "12-constellation series" afternoon tea campaign, intended to innovatively blend the cultural traditions of both the constellations and afternoon tea. Inspired by the different characteristics of the 12 signs of the Western zodiac and the unique flavor of Twinings' tea, the hotel has created 12 unique drinks and pastries.
