Cinemas shut for 90 days due to box-office fraud

In November, a new film industry law was introduced in China. The law came into effect on March 1, and according to the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, 326 cinemas have been punished for violations, with 63 cinemas nationwide ordered to suspend operations for at least 90 days, starting Monday, because of box-office fraud.
