Upgrades for club members

InterContinental Hotels Group, one of the world's leading hotel companies, announced that IHG Rewards Club Spire Elite Members - the company's highest level of elite membership - can now enjoy tier-exclusive benefits when staying at any IHG hotel in China.

The Spire Elite level of membership can only be achieved by members who have accumulated more than 75 qualified nights or by earning 75,000 points in a natural year by booking directly with IHG. The booking channels include IHG's official website (www.ihg.com) or the official websites of its brand hotels, its mobile app, its rewards club's official WeChat account (WeChat ID: IHGRewardsClub) or the IHG Reservation Center (400 884 0888).

Spire Elite members can enjoy a host of benefits such as member exclusive rates, extended check-out, priority check-in and complimentary room upgrades. Upon being upgraded to Spire Elite status, members also receive 100 percent bonus earnings on top of their base points for stays, as well as an Exclusive Choice Benefit that offers a choice of 25,000 bonus points or the ability to nominate a family member or friend to be upgraded to Platinum Elite membership.

Additionally, a new partner benefit will be rolled out for all levels of IHG's rewards club membership. From May 2017 until April 2018, club members are eligible for four discount coupons for taxi-hailing app services every month. In light of the strategic partnership between IHG and Didi Chuxing, the program will offer the special members-only benefit from Didi Zhuanche, tailored car services launched by Didi Chuxing via taxi-hailing apps.
