Philippines vessel visit mooted

Discussions are underway over a visit of a Chinese military vessel to the Philippines, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said in a news conference in Beijing on Friday. Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte said on Thursday, according to media reports, that the Philippines will invite a Chinese military vessel for a visit. "Regarding the Chinese military vessel's visit to the Philippines, according to my knowledge, relevant departments of the two countries are in communication over the issue," said Hua.
