Court clears death crash car owner

A man in Jiangyin has been cleared of any wrongdoing following the death of a motorcyclist who crashed into his parked car. The family of the deceased had taken the car owner to court demanding more than 400,000 yuan ($58,000) compensation. But he was found not guilty on account of the car being parked in front of his house, more than half a meter away from the road, and the motorcyclist being drunk at the time of the accident. The family received around 100,000 yuan compensation from the car insurance.
