Biz: Dino robots greet guests at Japanese hotel

On chinadaily.com.cn

With no smile and only sharp teeth, two robotic dinosaurs standing at the reception desk are always ready to help customers check in. They are professional attendants working for the Henn-na Hotel in Chiba, Japan, the second robot-staffed hotel operated by H.I.S. Hotel Holdings. Robots in this hotel can attend guests in English, Chinese and Japanese. Every room is equipped with a concierge robot called "Tapia", who can talk to customers or can carry out such services as turning the TV on or off or providing the weather forecast and news. The hotel opened last week.
