Around China

A resident of Shitan village, Shexian county, has found a huge Iingzhi mushroom in the Huangshan mountains. The fungus, also known as a reishi mushroom, had a circumference almost equal to a grown man's arm span and part of it resembled a human face, the villager said. Lingzhi mushrooms have been used in traditional Chinese medicine for more than 2,000 years and are thought to promote health and longevity.
