Premier Li Keqiang urged the government to further streamline administration and to lower taxes and costs for enterprises, which he said will drive market vitality and accelerate China's industrial upgrading.
He made the remarks on Saturday while meeting with the economy and agriculture groups of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the top political advisory body.
Several members made suggestions in areas such as property rights protection, pricing mechanisms for agricultural products and the development of private businesses, before the premier made his points on the economy.
