Peacekeepers head to S. Sudan

Seven Chinese police officers departed Beijing on Sunday bound for South Sudan on a one-year peacekeeping mission, the Ministry of Public Security announced. The sixth team of Chinese officers was selected by police authorities in Zhejiang province. All have attended peacekeeping training, including training on the situation in the mission zone, international law, first-aid, driving, English and shooting, and have passed United Nations examinations, the ministry said.
