Hebei sets high goals for soccer progress

Authorities in North China's Hebei province have issued a plan for the development of soccer up until 2050.

According to the plan, Hebei aims to have 1,000 soccer education campuses; to train millions of students; to launch amateur leagues; and to upgrade soccer facilities across the province.

Although Hebei has made progress in developing the sport in recent years, there remain many unsolved issues, including lack of management, talent and infrastructure as well as slow growth in related industries.
