German symphony orchestra to perform in Shanghai
Guerzenich Orchestra Cologne, a German symphony orchestra based in Cologne, will perform at Shanghai's Grand Theatre on Tuesday. The orchestra traces its origins to 1827. It began public performances in 1857. In 1986, the orchestra took up residence at the Koelner Philharmonie. It also collaborates with Cologne Opera.
