Graduates urged to work at grassroots

The central government issued a guideline on Tuesday, urging departments to encourage college graduates to work for grassroots units in remote areas. The guideline stated that grassroots work experience should be a mandatory requirement for civil service applicants eyeing provincial-level posts. More training and field studies should be organized to prepare the students for work at the grassroots, according to the guideline.
