By Bloomberg | China Daily | Updated: 2017-01-24 07:33

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd will delay delivery of Japan's first domestically made passenger jet by two years as it revised some systems to help meet the latest requirements for certification.

The builder of the Mitsubishi Regional Jet, which was originally set for handover in 2013, "will adjust the first delivery" from mid-2018 to mid-2020, according to a statement in Tokyo from the owner of plane maker Mitsubishi Aircraft Corp on Monday.

It's the fifth delay announced by the company.
