Indonesian airline Garuda to launch Xi'an service

Indonesia's national airline Garuda will operate direct flights between the tourist island of Bali and Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi province, from Jan 26, the company said. Initially, the service will be available once a week. Garuda currently flies to Bali from Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, Guangdong province. Meanwhile, Indonesian budget carrier Lion Air will launch a service between Bali and Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province, this month.
