State Council cuts more approvals
The executive meeting of the State Council, China's Cabinet, decided on Jan 4 to further cancel more administrative approvals designated by the central government to local policymakers. The meeting also decided to streamline intermediary services requiring administrative approval. At the meeting, the State Council approved a market supervision plan for the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20) period to create a fair, convenient and transparent market environment. It also discussed measures to improve government efficiency.
