Shooter kills 12 in party rampage

At least 12 people were killed and three more wounded during a shootout at a new year party, police sources revealed on Sunday. The attack took place in Campinas, near Sao Paulo, when a man climbed the wall of a house and shot his ex-wife, his 8-year-old son and relatives, before turning the gun on himself. More ammunition was found on his body. Media said the 40-year-old man, whose name was not released, had not accepted the separation. A witness said that she had heard the man saying he would kill his ex-wife after she won the custody of their child.
