After Shanghai Shenhua confirmed the capture of Carlos Tevez on Thursday, here are the six Asian-record signings announced by Chinese clubs this year:
•Carlos Tevez, $84 million
Argentina's former Manchester United and Manchester City star Carlos Tevez on Thursday signed with Shanghai Shenhua in the latest big-money Chinese deal. Shenhua said the acquisition will "greatly enhance" its team's front line. The Chinese Super League club did not put a value on the transaction, but Argentine media previously reported Tevez would earn $84 million for two sea-sons under the contract.
