Acting governor appointed in northwestern province

Wang Jianjun, a senior official in Northwest China's Qinghai province, has been appointed acting governor of the province, replacing Hao Peng who became the top official at the nation's top regulatory body for State-owned enterprises this month.
The appointment was made at a meeting of the Standing Committee of the 12th Provincial People's Congress on Tuesday, according to Qinghai News Network.
Wang, 58, a native of Yunxian county in Hubei province, began his career as a teacher at No 10 Middle School in Xining, capital of Qinghai, in September 1981. He spent most of his career with the Qinghai government.
