Around China

A man in Xi'an has been fined 2,000 yuan ($290) and had his license taken off him for six months after he was found drunk in the driver's seat of a car. The man, surnamed Chang, was stopped at 10:30 pm on Dec 10.He told police that he was waiting there to help open a manhole cover for his nephew, who was maintaining cables underground. But he had forgot the man-hole's location. So the officers checked all the manhole covers in the area till they heard the nephew's shouts and opened the cover for him.
