By Zhu Lixin in Hefei | China Daily | Updated: 2016-12-09 07:53

A wild boar was run over and killed in downtown Hefei, Anhui province, on Wednesday after a pack of dogs was set upon it.

The animal, which weighed about 100 kilograms, was first spotted by an official early in the early morning near a government compound in the city's Baohe district.

She reported the sighting to security personnel in the compound, but the boar was not seen again until later that day.
