Artists reach out to vulnerable

The Heart Music Plan was officially launched on Nov 6 to get more people from vulnerable groups to play musical instruments and perform them. The plan was initiated this summer by the Beijing-based charity organization, Yangci Family. Ma Ge, deputy director of Yangci Family, said the cause aimed to encourage more music professionals to teach and help vulnerable people express themselves with music. Art school professors, music producers, pop stars and bands showed their support at the launch of the plan. Heart Music Plan will organize music professionals to teach the disabled, elderly and other vulnerable people to play instruments and hold benefit events for them to perform.
