Joint media event helps open doors

By Li Jing in Tanzania | China Daily | Updated: 2016-11-30 06:51

An ongoing China-Africa media program has given Lucas Liganga, a journalist for The Guardian in Tanzania, a new understanding of Chinese companies in Africa.

Liganga is among more than 40 reporters from over 30 media outlets in China, Tanzania and Kenya who are participating in seven days of interviews, beginning on Monday, with representatives and workers of Chinese companies in the two African countries.

Liganga, who said he previously had a somewhat negative view of Chinese enterprises because they were not very open to foreign media, said his view has changed.
