Province elects new governor

Lou Yangsheng was elected governor of Shanxi province on Monday. The election was held at the Sixth Meeting of the 12th Shanxi Provincial People's Congress. The provincial legislature appointed Lou, 57, who hails from Zhejiang province, as acting governor in August. In June 2014, Lou was appointed deputy secretary of the Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, a post that he still holds.
