Role-play training

A total of 11 children, aged 5 to 11, participated in a two-day "role-play" training program at the Shangri-La Hotel Shenyang in Liaoning province on Oct 29 and 30. The hotel's K20 training program involved the operation of the hotel's front office, concierge services and food preparation. Each of the children were assigned a 'buddy trainer', who provided them with professional one-on-one training sessions. K20 is a unique role-play experience, which aims to give the children real-life experience of working within a hotel.

Christmas celebrations

With the Christmas season around the corner, Metropark Lido Hotel Beijing will hold a tree lighting ceremony on Dec 4, with a performance by the International School of Beijing choirs. The hotel will also host a children's Christmas party on Dec 10, offering a brunch buffet, gingerbread house building, straw weaving and gifts from Santa Claus. The hotel's Christmas party on Dec 24 will include a dinner buffet, performances and a lucky draw.
