Ex-official gets 8 years for graft
A court on Friday sentenced Liang Bin, a former senior official in Hebei province, to eight years in prison for taking bribes. Liang took bribes worth 5.58 million yuan ($800,000) when he was vice-governor of Shanxi province and a member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China Shanxi Provincial Committee from 2004 to 2014, according to the Anshan Intermediate People's Court.
