Beijing to host conference on renminbi

The RenminbiWorld, an annual gathering of financial experts and regulators focusing on the Chinese currency, will open in Beijing on Tuesday. The two-day event will discuss the internationalization of the yuan as well as new renminbi-related products. The conference is organized by the Asian Banker, a provider of business intelligence based in Singapore. It is the first conference on the renminbi since the International Monetary Fund included it in its reserve currency basket last month.
