Report to focus on scientist's space work

Zhang Shuangnan is in charge of two key Chinese space projects - a probe on board the Tiangong II space laboratory to detect the polarization of gamma-ray bursts, and the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope, scheduled to be launched soon. His expertise is in neutron stars, black holes, galaxies and the evolution of the universe through astronomical observation and theoretical calculation. In the coming days, China Daily will publish an in-depth report on Shang's work.
