Line 16 to open in Beijing in December
Ten out of the 29 stations on Beijing Metro's Line 16 will be operational from late December after testing is completed. Line 16 is designed to ease travel congestion for those living in the northern, western and southern parts of the city. It is the only line to open this year. Each of the upgraded trains is expected to carry 3,560 passengers.
