Nanchang to host sister cities conference

The third China-US Sister Cities Conferences will be held in Nanchang, capital of Jiangxi province, from Friday to Saturday. The program started in 1956, when then-US president Dwight Eisenhower proposed a people-to-people initiative. China has since set up more than 2,300 pairs of sister cities in 134 countries. That includes agreements with 285 cities in the United States alone.
