Ex-firm executive tried over bribery

Wang Tianpu, former general manager of Sinopec Group, stood trial at the Nanchang Intermediate People's Court on Tuesday for alleged bribery and graft, People's Daily reported. Wang is charged with using his position to help other people's business operations, while accepting assets worth more than 33 million yuan ($4.8 million) between 2003 and 2014 when he worked at several positions at the company. A verdict will be announced at a later date, according to the court.
