Group trapped in office elevator

More than 10 people became trapped in an elevator in Xi'an after it plummeted nearly 20 floors and they were unable to contact the office building's management. The incident occurred at noon on Oct 31 after the people entered the elevator on the building's 21st floor. Repeated calls to the building's management went unanswered, so they called the fire hotline 119 and were rescued by firefighters 20 minutes later. The building manager later apologized and said his staff were out at lunch at the time.
