PICC, CYDF launch charity program

People's Insurance Company (Group) of China Ltd and China Youth Development Foundation jointly launched an educational charity program at Longxiang primary school in Milin, a county in the Tibet autonomous region. The program aims to promote the teaching and learning of Chinese traditional literature and philosophy in rural areas. PICC and CYDF plan to equip 100 rural primary schools each with a reading room that offers books, to help children develop a habit of reading Chinese classics. The program first started in a school in Yunnan province in 2015, and has benefited village schools in many provinces, including Jiangxi, Qinghai and Anhui.
