The Beijing Reading Festival is a platform that has operated in the capital city for the past six years, organizing more than 20,000 events covering 10 million residents. The platform recently conducted a survey to look at the reading habits of people aged 7 to 70 in 16 districts. The report was released on Friday and here are some of its key findings:

92.24%

of those surveyed cultivated the reading habit. Among them, 83.57 percent chose to read digital books, while 79.72 percent said they would go with printed content. The survey also found that this is the first time that digital readers have surpassed fans of printed words.
