International teamwork key to successful future

Qingdao JM Corp and AppliTek signed an agreement on water monitoring devices on 29 October. This agreement has marked the first instance of cooperation between the Qingdao local company and the analytical technology giant from Belgium.

After the agreement is validated on the agreed date, Qingdao JM will start to adapt global drinking and bottled water guidelines from AppliTek.

Thus, AppliTek will be able to measure the quality of drinking and open water sources, and monitor biological pollution with the patented technology of Qingdao JM through the global platform that AppliTek provides. As a result, JM will benefit from the agreement by rolling out its technology on a global level and push its unique technology into the worldwide market in a more cost-effective way.

David Laurier, AppliTek's president and CEO, was very pleased with the deal.

"The agreement is an elaboration of China's Four-I strategy: innovative, invigorated, inter-connected and inclusive," Laurier said.

According to the agreement, AppliTek and JM are expecting to secure a global market share of $2 billion over the next three years through their joint effort.

AppliTek and JM agree that under the unstoppable trend of globalization, international cooperation is the key to succeed in the challenges and opportunities to come. Therefore, both companies believe the future of their cooperation is positive.

AppliTek has been increasingly active in the Chinese market since it entered China more than 10 years ago, and this is not the first time it has collaborated with a Chinese company.

The cooperation between AppliTek and AH Group from Beijing has been successful over the past five years in the waste and drinking water markets. AppliTek and its Chinese partners from Beijing and Qingdao have successfully completed a series of significant projects in close cooperation with other Chinese local corporations, such as the grand South-North Water Diversion project.

This Belgian company and its Chinese partners are looking forward to working closely together and achieving more after the diplomatic relationship has been built between China and Belgium for 45 years.
