Travel: Migratory birds gather at Dalinur Lake

Migratory birds are descending on Dalinur Lake, in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region. Millions of swans, geese and other birds travel long distances from Lake Baikal in Russia to Dalinur Lake in fall each year. When temperatures drop low enough to freeze Dalinur Lake, the birds then fly to Poyang Lake in Jiangxi province to spend the winter. The Dalinur Nature Reserve is one of the most important wetlands and sanctuaries for migratory birds in Asia.
