Typhoon causes huge losses
Typhoon Haima caused total estimated direct economic losses of 4.76 billion yuan ($703 million) in the provinces of Jiangsu, Fujian and Guangdong, the Ministry of Civil Affairs said on Tuesday. As of 9 am on Tuesday, about 114,000 people had been relocated and 3,200 houses had been damaged.
