Art: A look at Tibetan mandala

Mandala, an exquisite religious symbol of Tibetan Buddhism, has been well preserved since it was first introduced to Tibet from India. Mandala art includes hand painting, copper casting, sand laying, wood carving and hand embroidering. Balanced and symmetric, it alternates between diamond and circular shapes, and has a gorgeous sparkle thanks to the use of multicolored sand as the major pigments.
