PepsiCo offers free breakfasts to pupils
PepsiCo Greater China Region donated 700,000 yuan ($104,255) to the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, to further work on children's nutritional improvement in southwestern China. PepsiCo GCR also sent volunteers from the company there to make breakfast for the pupils, who usually go to school in the morning with empty stomachs. The vice-president of PepsiCo GCR said donating money is rather easy, but what's more important is to involve the company's employees in charity programs. PepsiCo GCR initiated the PepsiCo Nutrition in Action in 2015 by donating 1 million yuan to the CFPA. The target is to provide nutritious breakfasts for pupils from poor families in Zhaotong, Yunnan province in southwestern China.
