Judge convinced man to pay dues

A motorcyclist in Zhengzhou who owes 70,000 yuan ($10,500) compensation to a man he knocked down in 2014 has finally agreed to pay the court-ordered amount. The victim, surnamed Ma, was left paralyzed by the crash, but Wang initially refused to accept the court's verdict and only handed over 5,000 yuan. A judge, surnamed Mu, visited Wang regularly to try and convince him to pay what he owed but it was not until last month that Wang finally paid Ma the first installment of 22,000 yuan. He has agreed to pay the rest over time.
