3 dead, more than 100 injured in train crash

At least three people were killed and more than 100 injured, many critically, when a train crashed into Hoboken station in New Jersey on Thursday morning, officials and medical examiners said. The train "went right through the barriers and into the reception area", Radio station WFAN reported. Pictures on social media showed that the station roof had collapsed amid extensive damage due to the crash.

Pakistan fury after India launches strikes

India carried out a series of strikes on Thursday along the de facto border with Pakistan in Kashmir, provoking charges of "naked aggression" from its neighbor. Amid anger in India over a recent deadly assault on one of its army bases in Kashmir, India said its troops had conducted "surgical strikes" inside the Pakistan-controlled side of the disputed territory.
