Foundation launches recycling program

China Children and Teenagers' Foundation launched a public welfare program on Sept 11 in Tianjin to encourage members of the public to recycle their old or unwanted clothing. According to organizers, the program is designed to assist poverty-stricken families from across the country. Most donations will be given to local street cleaners, migrant workers and impoverished families from Hebei province. The scheme is also supported by Tianjin Women's Federation, Tianjin Women's Development Foundation and the local government.
