Red Cross chief arrives on Wednesday
Elhadj As Sy, secretary-general of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, will visit Beijing on Wednesday. He will make a presentation to the Red Cross Society of China. Before becoming the IFRC chief in 2014, Sy held numerous leadership roles in the humanitarian sector, working with a number of international organizations including UNICEF, UNAIDS and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
