Society: World's highest delivery station opens in Tibet

Alibaba's logistics arm, Cainiao Network, has set up the world's highest delivery service station in Southwest China's Tibet autonomous region. Located in Tashi Dzom in Tingri county, which lies at an altitude of 4,119 meters, the station is managed by Yang Tao and his father. Yang has to drive his pickup for hours to Tingri and back periodically to fetch parcels from online vendors. Shoppers then come to his station to pick up their packages. The station brings convenience and more products to the small town with a population of just 7,400.
