Taiwan to blame for event absence

The prerequisite for Taiwan to participate in any international activity is adherence to the one-China policy, Lu Kang, spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said on Friday. Ma Xiaoguang, spokesman for the State Council's Taiwan Affairs Office, said on Friday that the reason Taiwan cannot participate in the International Civil Aviation Organization assembly in Canada is that Taiwan's Democratic Progressive Party administration refuses to recognize the 1992 Consensus, which endorses the one-China principle.
