Li says higher standards key to manufacturing upgrade

Premier makes pledge in address to ISO meeting in Beijing

Premier Li Keqiang vowed on Wednesday to improve the competitiveness and quality of China's manufacturing sector by adopting more international standards.

The premier made the vow while meeting more than 600 delegates to the 39th General Assembly of International Organization for Standardization, which opened on Monday in Beijing.
