Canadian film festival to focus on China
A major festival in Montreal will highlight films from China and Canada and provide an opportunity for an in-depth look at big-screen collaboration. The 2016 Canada-China International Film Festival will be held from Friday to Monday and the China-Canada Audiovisual Exchanges and Communication in the Age of Globalization Summit Forum will also be held alongside the festival, as will the Entertainment Technology Summit & Exhibition. The opening film of the festival, which is expected to attract 300 hundred viewers, including renowned filmmakers and Chinese diplomats, will be Crosscurrent, which won the Silver Bear award at this year's Berlin film festival.
