Dai rises to Sinopec's president, vice-chairman
Dai Houliang, general manager of China Petroleum and Chemical Corp, also known as Sinopec, has been elected as president and vice-chairman of the board of directors. Dai's term as the company's president started from Aug 26 and will last until May 27, 2018. Dai, who is 53, is a senior engineer with a doctorate. He became deputy chief finance officer of Sinopec in 2005, and was promoted to general manager this May.
