In June 2008, China's online population hit a world record of 253 million. As of 2015, the number had jumped to 668 million, according to figures from the China internet Network Information Center.

With the world's biggest online population, the internet has changed the way people shop, pay their bills and even their way of thinking, and online connectivity has changed almost every sector of China's economy.
