Wozniacki: It sucks having to play me

Two-time US Open runner-up Caroline Wozniacki reached her fifth New York quarterfinal Sunday and admitted she's enjoying being the underdog rather than carrying the baggage of being world No 1.

"I think it just sucks for some of the other players who have to play me early," said Wozniacki after an impressive 6-3, 6-4 win over American eighth seed Madison Keys.

Wozniacki, a year-ending No 1 in 2010 and 2011, has seen her ranking slump to 74 after a 2016 season decimated by injury. This time last year, she was seeded at four in New York.
