Greener growth for a beautiful city

Zhanjiang is going all out to protect its environment, even as it accelerates its economic development.
According to the city's blueprint, Zhanjiang will set up more than 30,000 hectares of tropical rainforest between 2016 and 2035. Its rainforest area is expected to hit 65 percent by the end of 2035.
In addition to the common trees of the area, the city will also plant more arboreal varieties in the coming years.
